aww.

Taking the smaller, but no less impressive, Malfoy platinum wedding band from the priest, Draco leaned forward and slipped it onto Hermione's left ring finger.

Straightening, he smiled before saying in a clear, carrying voice,

"I, Draco Malfoy, in the name of the spirit of God that resides within us all, and by the life that courses within my blood, and the love that exists within my heart, take you, Hermione Jane Granger, to my hand, my heart, and my spirit, to be my chosen one. To desire you, and be desired by you; to possess you, and be possessed by you, without sin or shame, for nothing can exist in the purity of my love for you. I promise to love you wholly and completely without restraint, in sickness and in health, in riches and in poverty, in life and beyond, where we shall meet, remember, and love again. I shall not seek to change you in any way, I shall respect you, your beliefs, your people, and your ways as I respect myself."

He saw there was a sheen of tears in Hermione's eyes, and knew that the words had affected her as deeply as they had him.

She took a deep breath before responding in a shaky voice.

"I, Hermione Jane Granger, in the name of the spirit of God that resides within us all, by the life that courses within my blood, and the love that exists within my heart, take you, Draco Malfoy, to my hand, my heart, and my spirit, to be my chosen one. To desire you and be desired by you, to possess you and be possessed by you, without sin or shame, for nothing can exist in the purity of my love for you. I promise to love you wholly and completely without restraint, in sickness and in health, in riches and in poverty, in life and beyond, where we shall meet, remember, and love again. I shall not seek to change you in any way, I shall respect you, your beliefs, your people, and your ways as I respect myself."
