Fiesta in the gardens

yesterday was band fiesta. yesterday was also youth net rally.

and wonders. they just HAD to clash.

yoh.

anyways i decided to be the really responsible person i really am, so i went for band fiesta.

it was at botanic gardens. i like botanic gardens. pretty much, that is. some parts, that is. come to think of it, i think the botanic gardens are ok lah. but i love having picnics on the grassland near the Mosquito Kingdom aka the Pond.

but anyway, the stage in the middle of the pond has been renovated and is really pretty now. last time i saw it, it STANK. eeww. and it was so filthy it was nauseating! yuch

band fiesta was held at that area... audience lounging in the grass in front and around the stage.

yes and we were performing last. how fine and dandy.

and apparently it was a competition... "The Grooviest Band Award"

ok whatever. from the results of the competition, i tell you, the audience had bad definition of what Groovy means.

i think based on 'groove' Cat High ought to have won. i mean, look at their gimmicks! i thought they were pretty cool though... and really original

and marsiling sec almost put me to sleep. as in they werent groovy at all, man. but their playing wasnt that bad lahh but they main reason they won was because they brought this whole flock of supporters. so duh they won. it's just Singapore Idol all over again.

not that im sore or anything, but im just musing how singaporeans make really bad choices..... i mean, if not how did taufik become singapore idol?

hmm. hope if there is another SI season, the people that show up would turn out better.
